Staying at this hotel was beyond my expectations. The room, like having my own room back in college, was located on the second floor and considerably larger than I had expected. The service was the first time I ever heard of and the staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming. The location couldn't have been better, being only 1 block from Elgin where there are lots of restaurants and activities. The dining experience, however, was a bit traditional with limited options. Overall, it was a great stay in Ottawa.

The hotel is in a convenient location in a pleasant residential neighborhood on the outskirts of downtown Ottawa, offering good value for the price. The rooms were equipped with cardio and weight machines, but some maintenance issues detracted from the overall experience. The service was attentive and welcoming, creating a sense of home away from home.
Rooms
5.0
The room was not as expected, featuring stained and worn carpeting, peeling paint, and maintenance issues. The lack of dust cover on the bed's boxsprings was disappointing.
Service

The staff were wonderful and addressed any issues efficiently and with care, making me feel well taken care of.
Location
7.0
The location is fairly good, just off Elgin Street with proximity to popular dining spots like MayFlower pub/diner and Dunnes famous deli. However, a better location closer to the main entertainment area would have been preferable.
Dining

The breakfast options were limited with only coffee, packed muffins, and power bars available, which was a downside for starting the day.

I had a mixed experience at this hotel. On the positive side, the rooms were very clean and well appointed, making for a quiet stay. However, they did feel a bit depressing and stale. The service from the staff, especially Colby, was welcoming and helpful, adding to the overall pleasant vibe of the hotel. The location was perfect for exploring the city on foot, with many attractions within easy reach. On the downside, the dining options were pretty disappointing, lacking variety in fresh choices. Overall, the facilities were in good repair, but better lighting outside the building would enhance security.

My stay at the hotel was a mix of great aspects and a few downsides. The rooms were big, beautiful, and very comfortable with a full kitchen and an enormous balcony, but some parts were in need of maintenance. The service was very nice overall, with some minor communication issues at the front desk. The location was excellent, close to various attractions, but there was a slight discrepancy with the booking information. The dining experience was satisfactory but not exceptional, and the facilities were good with some room for improvement.

Staying here was a mixed experience. The rooms, though not serviced for several days, felt overpriced for what was provided, especially compared to the suite. The suite itself was small but had a sitting area, kitchenette, bedroom, and bathroom. The broken air conditioning that blew out air at 28°C was rather uncomfortable.
Rooms
5.0
The suite, although small, included essential amenities like a sitting area, kitchenette, bedroom, and bathroom.
Service
8.0
The service was incredibly friendly and helpful, considering the large number of guests during a busy event like a World Cup game. Just keep in mind that this isn't a luxurious hotel like Westin or Hilton.
Location

The location was convenient as I could easily walk to Byward Market, Parliament Hill, NAC, Elgin street pubs, Byward Market restaurants, and the National Gallery. It's very central, especially for events like Remembrance Day ceremonies.
Dining

I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The rooms were spacious, with updated bathrooms and full kitchens, but the open passage allowed freezing air into the room, making it a bit uncomfortable. The king-size bed was a nice touch but seemed a bit pricier than expected.

I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The rooms were spacious but lacked proper ventilation. On the bright side, they offered access to the pool for a small fee, and the presence of two double beds was convenient. However, there were some drawbacks to note.
Rooms
7.0
The rooms were roomy, but the ventilation was lacking. The availability of two double beds was handy, and the option to use the pool for a $5 fee was a nice perk.
Service
5.0
The service left a lot to be desired. I felt like a second class citizen with the hotel employees crowding around the breakfast area. Even when I brought up issues like parking, the handling was not up to par.
Location
9.0
The location was a big plus as it was right in the heart of Downtown Ottawa, making it super easy to reach key attractions like Byward Market and Parliament Hill on foot. Being within walking distance of various sites and museums was very convenient.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience was subpar with a limited offering of mostly coffee, snack bars, and plastic-wrapped bran muffins in the morning. The crockery situation was so poor that guests had to eat in shifts.
Facilities

The facilities were decent overall, but there were definitely areas that needed improvement, especially in the dining setup and service management.

I booked this hotel last minute through a Priceline mystery deal and was pleasantly surprised by the comfort it offered for the price paid. The rooms were clean and included a small kitchen, although some strong smells from the living room and kitchen could occasionally be noticed. The service was top-notch, with the staff willing to go the extra mile to resolve any issues. The location was excellent, within walking distance of the parliament buildings, ByWard Market, and other attractions, making it a cost-effective choice compared to larger business hotels. The dining experience provided a decent selection for breakfast, though nothing exceptional. Overall, a good value for the money.

My stay at this hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms felt like a homey little apartment with a newly renovated bathroom. The living room had a couch and an incredibly comfy recliner. Both the bedroom and living room featured flat-screen TVs with full cable. However, our balcony view was nothing extraordinary. The king-sized bed was a definite plus.
Rooms

The rooms were like a cozy little apartment, and the bathroom was newly renovated. The living room setup with a couch and a super comfy recliner was a nice touch. The flat-screen TVs in both the bedroom and living room were great for entertainment.
Service

I appreciated the staff's effort to help us with a reservation problem, going above and beyond. However, the service of only offering towels and toilet paper from the doorway was a bit inconvenient.
Location
9.0
The hotel is conveniently located just one block from Elgin, where you can find plenty of restaurants and activities. It's also a short walk to Parliament Hill, making it ideal for exploring Ottawa downtown. The proximity to good restaurants and bars open until late was a bonus.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience was basic, not offering much variety. It's advisable to go early if you plan on eating here. The location near the main aisle and west tower elevators made it convenient but lacked an extensive menu.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel offers good facilities, but nothing particularly outstanding. It's a solid option for the price, but not luxurious or extra special.
